The babies are growing

in

It is November 17th and it feels like another summer day, it's that warm and sunny today. Back home in Switzerland they already had their first snow and the cold weather had come really early this year. I have been living here in San Diego for the last thirdteen years and still to this day I compare the weather with Switzerland. My sister's and my father in law's garden are now dormant and I started to plant seeds just a few weeks ago. And guess what? They are growing beautifuly.
The peas are about 6 inches high, colard, carrots, lettuce, romain lettuce, broussel sprouts, leek, spinach and beets have made it up to 2 - 3 inches. Like a proud parent we, Christoph (my husband and partner in this square foot garden projct) and I, walk first thing in the morning out to the beds to witness any more growth and new seedlings come up. Lots of "look here" or "wow! How amazing".
